Becoming a Statutory Auditor and a member of IEKA is a journey that combines university education, professional training and qualification examinations. Below you will find the main steps and the criteria that must be met.

Membership of IEKA entitles you to practise the profession of statutory auditor, to be entered in the Public Register and to be part of a professional community founded on the highest ethical and technical standards.

The journey towards membership

The five main steps to becoming a Statutory Auditor.

    1. University education

    A Bachelor's degree and a scientific Master's degree in economics, accounting, finance or auditing.

    2. Professional training

    At least 3 years of training with a statutory auditor or a registered audit firm.

    3. Qualification examinations

    Passing the professional qualification examinations organised by KPAP.

  4. 4

    4. The title of Statutory Auditor

    Award of the title upon successful completion of all examinations.

    5. Registration

    Entry in the IEKA Public Register in order to practise the profession.

Key criteria

The conditions that must be met to become a member.

University degree

A scientific Master's degree in accounting, finance, economics or auditing.

Practical experience

3 years of documented professional training in the field of auditing.

Qualification examinations

Passing all of the professional qualification examinations.

Professional integrity

Having no criminal conviction and meeting the ethical and legal requirements.
